Hi testers! Please do some testing on https://mysql-84.cgolubi1.dev.buttonweavers.com/ui/index.html --- it's talking to a remote database running mysql-8.4, which is a mandatory upgrade i need to do to staging and prod as soon as i can convince myself it's safe to do so. Just check out standard game and site activities, and flag anything that looks broken or surprising.

shadowshade: go ahead and review this when you get a minute --- in terms of the infrastructure code, it's basically identical to what i used for the original mysql 8.0 upgrade, with different version numbers. If people are able to do some testing on the dev site, that's great. If not, i'd like to move in the direction of getting it merged this week and doing the upgrade next weekend at latest, so that i don't have to deal with the higher billing rate for more than a week.
